Critical Realism

Overview:

The Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship is pleased to invite educators and researchers to a special seminar on Critical Realism (CR), a philosophical approach that has profound implications for social science and humanities research. This 90 minute seminar will be led by Dr. Catherine Hastings, a social science researcher from Macquarie University Australia and board member in the International Association for Critical Realism.

  • Applications to entrepreneurship: Through peer conversation, delve into how Critical Realism can inform and transform the practice of entrepreneurship, beyond business creation to the realisation of ideas with tangible, real-world impacts.

Form of Teaching:

Lecture (60+30 minutes): Dr. Hastings will provide a comprehensive introduction to Critical Realism, followed by a discussion of its applications in higher education and entrepreneurship.

Networking: Following the seminar, there will be time for informal networking, allowing participants to connect and exchange ideas.
