Within the vast field of Life Sciences, there is potential for finding solutions to some major health and societal challenges of today and tomorrow. Together with the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”, this is opening up opportunities in areas that were previously only thought possible in science fiction. This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary to make this a part of your future career.
Consider the future of household appliances – like smart mirrors. Soon, we might see these mirrors not just reflecting our image but also analysing our facial expressions and skin conditions, scanning for signs of stress or nutritional deficiencies to give us insights on our health. This way, a company known for manufacturing mirrors could transform into a provider of health monitoring technology, or, in other words, an actor within the Life Sciences arena. Growing in symbiosis with other fields, Life Science will thereby create a wholly new landscape of healthcare innovation, and the companies and organisations that operate within that landscape will face some unique challenges.
Whether you will be in the thick of it or adjacent to it in your career, this workshop will give you all the essential insight into the commercial, regulatory, and legal environment that you will need in order to navigate it. You will explore the solutions and best practice operations to optimise the future of any Life Science venture, and gain an understanding of the theoretical, practical, and interactive aspects of the business.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Comprehensive understanding of the Life Science business, legal environment, and commercial market.
