This workshop offers you a hands-on introduction to the world of digital marketing and is a great opportunity for those of you looking to start your own venture or join a startup. Over the course of two days you will be deeply immersed in the tools and methods used in innovative corporations and startups alike, teaching you the basics of 21st century digital marketing. In addition to practical tools, you will learn the latest digital marketing jargon and methodologies used today, giving you a unique edge in the interview process as well as making you valuable from day one on a new job.

Who should attend?
In order to gain as much value as possible from the workshops, participants should have a basic knowledge and understanding of marketing and technology. The workshop will be very hands-on and interactive, so students should bring their own laptops.

All students and alumni of SSES member universities are eligible to apply to this weekend workshop. We get many applications and unfortunately cannot accept everyone. The selection process is outlined below:

- If spots are not confirmed in time, the waitlist will be reviewed and new participants selected
About the teacher
Karl Naim is a seasoned entrepreneur and investment professional with over 15 years of experience ranging from Tech, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Private Equity and Venture Capital. Before being a full fledge entrepreneur, Karl was a pure corporate brat and worked at the likes of UBS, Goldman Sachs, and Mubadala Development Company. He turned Angel investor and entrepreneur in 2012 and co-founded ChefXChange an international FoodTech startup in 2014. In 2019, Karl helped set up StartechEUS, the first Fin-Tech Accelerator, Academy and VC Fund in the Middle East, acting as CIO & Partner. He now remains on the Investment Committee. He since then joined Diet Doctor in his new role of VP Growth & Finance, helping set up the right processes and best practices in the company, and accelerating their Growth. In his free time, he acts as a mentor to early stage entrepreneurs, writes articles for Entrepreneur publication, and is an inspirational speaker. Karl holds an MBA from London Business School, an MSc in Economics & Finance from Warwick Business School and a BA in Economics from the American University in Beirut. To wind down, Karl can be found working out, hiking with his 2 dogs or cooking a storm in the kitchen.
