Entrepreneurs and executives that make the most impact are notoriously clear on what they want, they plan the path they want to follow and they strategize to win and perform in the positions that matter.
Despite their example and the vast array of choices and possibilities in the modern world of work, it is surprising how few people put time into deliberately managing their career and similarly it is surprising how often candidates appear for interview under prepared.
This workshop begins by emphasising how the right job choice and the right interview performance at the right time can put your career onto a new trajectory; a new executive level, a geographic move, a change in professional direction. The workshop combines the two essential elements namely “Deliberate Career Management” and “Mastering the Interview” and provides you with a framework and tools for addressing both topics. The workshops aims to instil the discipline of career management into your personal planning at an early stage of your working life such that you are able to maximize your contribution, your results and your rewards over the coming years.
Over the two days we will discuss how and why you make certain career decisions, we will discuss interview concepts and you will get a chance to role-play, build new skills and test your ideas.
The skills you learn here will be invaluable for the rest of your professional career, regardless of whether you choose to climb the corporate ladder or start your own business and need to employ excellent candidates.
Following the workshop you will:
Gain the skills required to take control of an interview and deliver the messages that matter in the most effective way.
Gain a strategic perspective on interviewing, from preparation to the actual meeting, all the way to follow-up.
Gain insights and techniques for communicating your true value to a prospective employer in the limited time available.
Have a framework for making career decisions and setting personal goals
