Design is a powerful tool in strategic work. Still, few entrepreneurs know how to really use design related methods to increase performance. So we created this workshop.
You have heard it before; design is much more than the way things around us look and feel. In this workshop we regard design as a powerful tool in working strategically as an entrepreneur. Done the right way, "thinking" design seems to be the most appropriate way to develop solutions and create settings which are human-centred, and long lasting over time.
The design method you will be trained in during this workshop is 'design thinking', which departs from the individual's needs and desires to, indeed, create solutions that are human-centred. The method was originally developed by combining engineering and 'traditional' design methods. By boosting the mix with techniques and tools from the business world and social sciences it becomes a method highly useful for an entrepreneur. Also, it is a really fun technique to use.
Not yet convinced of the power of Design Thinking yet? Then we challenge you to pick up the closest academic article on "return on design investment" and look for the section on Apple Inc.
