Rice University Business Plan Competition
SSES is proud to offer an opportunity to graduate students at its member schools to take part in the TiE International Business Plan Competition. We are organising a local competition in co-operation with the Nordic TiE Chapter where a number of teams will be chosen to compete in the regional final hosted in Brussels.
Winners of the regional final get a chance to compete in the the largest business plan competition in the world held at Rice University in Houston, Texas. These teams will receive mentoring and coaching, prior to entering the competition at Rice, in an intense three-day Boot Camp hosted by the Houston Chapter of TiE.
How to apply
Teams that wish to represent SSES in the TiE International Business Plan Competition must consist of two to five students, with at least one graduate student from a SSES member school. The teams selected to represent SSES will go straight to the regional finals in Brussels.
Applications to the competition are done through the iStart portal. More information on all aspects of the competition can be found in the competition handbook.
Application Period
Applications and Executive Summaries are due by 11:59pm on November 2nd, 2012. They will then be reviewed by the Chapter Judges and teams selected to compete will be notified by November 12th.
Business Plan Submission
Teams that have been invited to compete at the TiE International Business Plan Competition must submit their full Business Plans no later than November 26th. The teams will be invited to present their plans at the SSES Headquarters in early December and the winners will be notified before the end of the year.
