Global finals: 19-20 April 2012 at the University of California, Berkeley, USA

The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) is the largest and longest-running social business plan competition providing mentoring, exposure, and $45,000 in prizes. Global scale and interaction with key players in the social enterprise sector means GSVC offers a unique opportunity to refine, test, and launch new ideas.

How to apply

The team selected to represent SSES will go straight to the EMEA-finals (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) held in London, March 2012. The three best EMEA teams are then invited to the global finals held in California, April 2012. Teams representing SSES at Global Social Venture Competition must consist of at least one student from the SSES member schools.

Apply by sending us your team's:

  • Three page executive summary
  • Names, schools, contact details and how the participating team members are connected to SSES.

Apply before January 25th by sending an executive summary to kristin.grimsdottir@sses.se. We are sourcing ideas continuously, so apply early. We will run an internal SSES competition during winter 2011.
