Eddie Weitzberg

Dr. Eddie Weitzberg began his career within anestesiology in 1987 at Karolinska Sjukhus. In 1993 he gained a PhD from Karolinska Institutet for his research on how blood vessels are affected by the protein endothelin and gas molecule nitric oxide. And in 2003 he was appointed professor of anesthesiology and critical care at Karolinska Institutet.
Eddie holds several patents relating to treatment and diagnosis and he has been instrumental in starting several companies. These include Aerocrine, a listed company that uses nitric oxide to monitor, diagnose and treat inflammatory airway diseases.
