Ann-Christin Nykvist

In 2007 the Swedish government named former cabinet minister Ann-Christin Nykvist as the new Director General and Chairman of the National Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV). SPV is based in Sundsvall and is responsible for managing the government's occupational pension system.
Ann-Christin has a degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. She has previously worked for the Swedish government as an Assistant Undersecretay at the Ministry of the Interior from 1989-1991 and then in the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communication from 1991-1994. From 1994 to 1999 she was Parliamentary Undersecretary, first at the Ministry of the Interior and then at the Ministry of Culture. From 1999-2002 Ann-Christin was Director General of the Swedish Competition Authority. Most recently she has been a cabinet member and the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Consumer Affairs. She is currently Chairman of the Federation of Swedish Art Clubs.
