Alumni company Front receives world's largest design-prize

This year the Torsten and Wanja Söderbergs prize, worth 1 million SEK, has been awarded to the design group Front. The members of Front are SSES alumni students Anna Lindgren, Sofia Lagerkvist and Charlotte von der Lancken. Anna, Sofia and Charlotte began working together in 2004 whilst studying at Konstfack.

Darek Haftor, new SSES Centre Director at Stockholm University

We are pleased to announce that Darek Haftor has joined the team as the SSES Centre Director at Stockholm University. Darek’s primary goal will be to continue strengthening our collaboration with Stockholm University, which is the most recent member to join SSES.

SSES calls for a more diversified image of the entrepreneur

During the spring, SSES has presented a large number of “start-up stories” by different kinds of entrepreneurs at our seminars and events. The purpose has been to provide a more accurate image of the entrepreneur and refute the stereotypical version of the “superman” as often portrayed by the media.

Yesterday SoundCloud announced that they have hit a million users. SoundCloud is an online audio distribution platform which allows musicians to collaborate, promote and distribute their music. It has sometimes been described as being for audio what Flickr is for photos, or Vimeo is for video
