Companies run by people with foreign backgrounds is an important part of the Swedish economy. Today, this sector employs about 200 000 people.
In 2008, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth was commissioned by the government to develop a national program with a focus on entrepreneurs with foreign backgrounds. The overall goal is to increase the growth potential of this category of entrepreneurs. One objective is to increase awareness of entrepreneurs of foreign origin. As part of this, the anthology "Market of Opportunities" has been published.
During this lecture, four of the authors will present their results, and their different approaches to the theme. After the presentations we will have a discussion with comments from Maria Masoomi, a well known entrepreneur and speaker.
Lecturers: Ragnar Ahlström Söderling, Lund and Dalarna University, Lars
