This summer SSES student Claudia Olsson is switching Stockholm for Silicon Valley to attend Singularity University. She will thereby become the first Swede to participate in the prestigious education. In this, Google, along with NASA and LinkedIn is notable amongst the organizers.

– I am really looking forward to taking part in this extraordinary program, Claudia Olsson says, where we will be taught by both Nobel Prize recipients and entrepreneurs such as Peter Diamandis (CEO of X Prize Foundation), Vint Cerf (father of the internet) and Larry Page (co-founder of Google). I am convinced that the education will inspire meto large-scale aspirations in my future leadership

– Claudia has an exciting background in international work and entrepreneurship, says Rasmus Rahm, Director of Education and Deputy Executive Director of SSES. It is an incredibly good distinction to be accepted to Singularity University, which also proves the value of the education carried on by SSES.

The program employs 80 young leaders from across the globe to address humanity´s greatest challenges. According to Singularity University Claudia has been selected on the basis of her academic accomplishments in combination with previous work experiences and most of all, a strong passion to change the world.

Singularity University is an academic institution in Silicon Valley which has the express mission to ”assemble, educate, and inspire leaders who understand and develop exponentially advancing technologies to address humanity’s Grand Challenges”.
