Jonas Hombert (JayCut)
SSES' nominee Jonas Hombert, CEO and co-founder of JayCut, has been awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Stockholm 2010. JayCut provides video editing software, which runs in a web browser and on mobile devices, to customers such as Procter&Gamble. The award was handed out this Wednesday (May 5) by Founder Alliance and Stockholm Stad.
We congratulate Jonas and want to highlight his start-up story "Do your post mortem before you die", presented and recorded at SSES office on April 15.

Sebastian Siemiatkowsk (Klarna)
Klarna, one of the biggest providers in Europe of in-store credit and invoice based payment solutions for the e-commerce sector, has successfully secured funding from Sequoia Capital. Sequoia Capital’s previous investments include amongst others PayPal, Google and YouTube.
In addition Sven Hagströmer, Chairman of Investment AB Öresund ("Öresund"), has been named Chairman of the Board of Klarna, and Michael Moritz, Partner at Sequoia Capital, has been appointed member of the board.
The purpose of the funding is to finance Klarna's increased rate of expansion.

Gustav Borgefalk, Niklas Jungegård, Robert Lyngman (Student Competitions AB)
In this seasons' last episode of Draknästet (the Swedish version of the BBC's Dragon's Den) SSES alumni company Student Competitions AB received funding from IT-veteran Mats Gabrielsson.
The company, gathering students challenges from all over the world, will use the 600 000 SEK invested to bring their venture forward at a faster pace.
