The European Business Plan of the Year Competition (EBPYC) is around the corner and and we're looking for a team to show case the best that SSES can offer.
About the competition
On Friday 28th and Saturday 29th May 2010 at Cranfield School of Management UK, one specially chosen team will compete on behalf of SSES to win the EBPYC. In line with previous years, each participating school will send a team of maximum five students to the event.
Teams will be asked to submit a business plan and deliver a 3-minute elevator pitch. This is followed by a 15-minute business pitch plus a 15-minute Q&A delivered to a panel of actual investors and entrepreneurs. On the first day, the judges select the finalists, who then have to compete again in front of the whole panel of judges on the following day. There will be prizes for the top three teams as well as a prize for the best elevator pitch and a special sustainability award.
How to apply
Send your business plan and executive summary to karin.ahlin@sses.se before 21 March, 23:59. A selected number of teams will then continue to pitch their business plans at SSES in front of a jury – the week after. The jury will select one winning team, getting to go to the EBPYC. Note that the winning team will get a coach to improve their business plan, before going to the UK.
The text of the business plan should not exceed 30 double-spaced typed pages and the entire document, including text and exhibits should not exceed 40 pages in length. The plan must be written in English. There is no single format that should be followed, as long as all the pertinent areas are adequately covered.
Also attach an executive summary of max 3 pages in your application to SSES.
In the e-mail, please write the following facts as well:
- Title of your plan
- Name of your school
- Full names of team members
- Email contact details for each team member
- One line description
