Diploma

SSES Diploma in Venture Creation

At SSES we have spent the last ten years building an education and training platform we are really proud of. With more than 6000 student graduations and 250 spin-off start-ups we now face our next challenge: to ship the version 2.0 of a one-of-a-kind and state-of-the-art program in global change-making venture creation. SSES White Label in four words: study hard, play hard.

In sum SSES White Label is a one-year commitment of hard work with loads of benefits for those who commit and are accepted.

The first semester consists of a course pack with lectures two evenings per week, complemented by immersion into an international network for entrepreneurs and fast-track participation in a number of SSES Training Activities such as Weekend Workshops, Toolbox Fridays and International Competitions. In short, we base the semester on you as an individual and focus on creating a personal tailor-made platform based on your own competencies and skills, so that you are well equipped for a start-up. At the end of this period, having killed off a number of business ideas along the way, you will also have developed the final embryo of what is to be the start-up you launch in semester two.

The second semester is really focused on launching a start-up, and sales. Again based on you as an individual and your start-up you will be hooked up with hand-picked experts and mentors, parachuted into one of Sweden’s leading incubators (choice of incubator will depend on your wishes and the nature of your start-up). This semester is more intense than the first one as it will include studies, business lab workload plus travel.

Do I need a venture to join in?

No, not at all. Creating one is what this program is all about. But if you already have one, we're sure we can help you take that one to the next level as well.

What we promise

As always in education; what you give is what get. That said, in addition to having been provided the opportunity, coaching and resources to actually run a global-scale change-making venture of your own we promise successful graduating students to:

  • have graduated from the following SSES courses: Ideation, Planning, Execution and Growth
  • have received a certified copy of the first ever SSES diploma in Venture Creation
  • have gained access to an internationally strong and venture creation oriented network of entrepreneurs, investors, coaches and educational offerings
  • have spent half a year at an SSES member school incubator, such as SSE Business Lab or SU Innovation

  • have participated in a number of White Label tailor-made workshops such as brand creation, marketing strategy and sales coaching
  • have gained fast-track access to a number of SSES Training Activities, including; international competitions, Weekend Workshops and International Bootcamps in places like India and China.

Please note that we have an up-or-out methodology in which we reserve the right to kick non-performing students out of the program (purely based on devotion to your peers and the program). This is rare in Sweden, we know, but then this entire program is rare.

CSN and stuff

We believe that you join this program for something more than just a degree at the end. Still, we appreciate CSN and degrees are important. This is a diploma program that you as an SSES member school based student may count towards your original degree. Hence, you will not receive a complete BSc or MSc in entrepreneurship when you’re done, instead you will be able to count the course pack towards your original degree as elective courses, and in some instances even as a minor in entrepreneurship.

Bottom-line is that yes, you will receive CSN for taking part in the program for the included SSES-courses (4*7.5 ECTS over the course of 12 months). Again, we believe that you join this program for something more than just a degree at the end.

So, why “White Label”?

Originally white labels came about when competing DJs would tear the labels off their records so that others would not be able to identify their most special, rare, or "secret weapon" tracks. Today, white labels are commonly used to promote new artists or upcoming albums by veteran artists. That's why.
